(February 11, 2020) – Fargo, North Dakota’s Casey Arneson pocketed Tuesday night’s $2,000 IMCA Modified winner’s share atop the 3/8-mile Central Arizona Speedway by wiring the field in the 25-lap feature event that capped off the fourth round of the Fourth Annual Arizona Dirt Track Tour.

While Arneson earned IMCA Modified honors, Nebraska’s Brian Osantowski took the $750 winner’s share in the IMCA Sport Modifieds while Arizona native Ricky Thornton, Jr., picked off his second $750 IMCA Stock Car win in as many CAS rounds.

Arizona Dirt Track Tour on the Way to Central Arizona Speedway!

Lonnie Wheatley, CASA GRANDE, Ariz. (February 6, 2020) – Following a rousing season opener last weekend, Central Arizona Speedway is gearing up for three days of activity atop the 3/8-mile clay oval in Casa Grande beginning on Sunday.

Central Arizona Speedway will host the Fourth Annual Arizona Dirt Track Tour on Sunday and Tuesday with an open practice session mixed in between on Monday night.

Sunday’s racing action goes green at 1:00 p.m. with Tuesday evening’s card getting under way at 7:00 p.m.  Monday’s open practice session is set for 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Sussex Scores Sprint Car Win in Central Arizona Speedway Season Opener!

Lonnie Wheatley, CASA GRANDE, Ariz. (February 1, 2020) – The 3/8-mile Central Arizona Speedway in Casa Grande fired to life for the first time in 2020 with Laveen’s Stevie Sussex racing to victory lane in the 25-lap San Tan Ford ASCS Desert Non-Wing Sprint Car headliner.

While Sussex bested the Non-Wing Sprint Car ranks, other opening night winners at Central Arizona Speedway included Bud Marshall in Pure Stocks, Kevin Souligne in Bombers, Josh Castro in Power 600 Micro Sprints and Tuesday Calderwood in Power 600 Restricted Micros.

Central Arizona Speedway Kicks off 2020 Season with ASCS Non-Wing Sprint Cars on Saturday Night!

Lonnie Wheatley, CASA GRANDE, Ariz. (January 28, 2020) – Central Arizona Speedway gets the new decade under way with a bang this Saturday night as the ASCS San Tan Ford Non-Wing Sprint Cars lift the lid on the 2020 season atop the 3/8-mile Casa Grande clay oval.

While the ASCS Non-Wing Sprint Cars headline Saturday night’s card that goes green at 7:00 p.m., the Power 600 Micros, Pure Stocks and Bombers will be in action as well.  It will be preceded by an open practice session on Friday night from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., with free grandstand admission and $25 pit passes.

Jeff Taylor Tops Central Arizona Speedway’s Desert Thunder Nationals Finale as Cody Thompson Sweeps the Sport Mods!

(November 24, 2019) – Central Arizona Speedway’s Sixth Annual Desert Thunder Nationals came down to the final lap with Cave City, Arkansas racer Jeff Taylor denying R.C. Whitwell a sweep of the three-race weekend by winning Sunday afternoon’s 30-lap IMCA Modified main event atop the 3/8-mile clay oval in Case Grande.

While Taylor denied Whitwell’s perfect weekend, Sioux City, Iowa’s Cody Thompson completed his three-race sweep of IMCA Sport Modified action and Jack Lacy bested Sunday’s round of Bomber competition.

Taylor jumped into the lead at the outset of the IMCA Modified feature and led throughout, fending off a late challenge from Whitwell.

Whitwell upped his game with an even more dominant performance in Saturday’s second leg of Central Arizona Speedway’s Sixth Annual Desert Thunder Nationals by romping to IMCA Modified victory lane in a non-stop 25-lapper atop the 3/8-mile clay oval.

Whitwell wasn’t the only one to make it two-for-two in the three-race set with Cody Thompson besting the IMCA Sport Modifieds again and Zach Tate repeated in the Bombers.  R.J. Johnson and J.W. Carney Tops ASCS Sprint Cars at Central Arizona Speedway’s “Night of Champions”

Lonnie Wheatley, CASA GRANDE, Ariz. (November 9, 2019) – Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour star John Carney II took center stage at Saturday’s “Night of Champions” event at Central Arizona Speedway by racing to victory lane in the 25-lap ASCS Southwest Region Sprint Car feature.

While the El Paso native took Sprint Car honors, other “Night of Champions” winners included Tim Ward in IMCA Modifieds, Bo Partain in IMCA Sport Modifieds, Donald Comstock in Pure Stocks, Bransen Lacy in Bombers and Shane Hinsley in Mod Lites.

The ASCS Southwest Region will drop in on CAS for the third and final time of the season with the IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sport Modifieds, Pure Stocks, Bombers and Mod Lites in action as well.

Saturday’s racing action goes green at 7:00 p.m.
