Unfortunately due to the current situation and recent event the July 18th race has been cancelled.
Arizona Governor Doug Ducey announced on Sunday the closure of schools, and mass gatherings, events with 50 or more people will be canceled.
This includes: conferences, festivals, parades, concerts, sporting events, weddings and other types of assemblies. This recommendation does not apply to the day to day operation of organizations such as institutes of higher learning or businesses and applies to events of 50 people or more.
Central Arizona Speedway will cancel the 3/21 & 3/28 events. Hopefully we will be able to resume our schedule on 4/11 for Hippity Hoppity Easter when the USAC 410 Sprint Cars return along with the IMCA Sport Modifieds, Pure Stocks, Bombers and Power
Lonnie Wheatley, CASA GRANDE, Ariz. (March 7, 2020) – Sterling Cling raced to “Cotton Classic” victory lane on Saturday night as the San Tan Ford ASCS Desert Non-Wing Sprint Car series made its second stop of the season atop the 3/8-mile Central Arizona Speedway clay oval.
While Cling topped the Sprint Car portion, other Saturday night “Cotton Classic” winners included Kelsie Foley in IMCA Modifieds, Donald Comstock in Pure Stocks, Nick Posey in Bombers, Caleb Stelzig in Power 600 Micro Sprints and J.W. Henderson in Power 600 Restricted “A” Class Micros

Lonnie Wheatley, CASA GRANDE, Ariz. (March 5, 2020) – After rain interrupted Central Arizona Speedway’s most recent attempt at racing on February 22, the 3/8-mile clay oval fires back to life with Saturday night’s “Cotton Classic”.
Saturday’s card will feature the San Tan Ford ASCS Desert Non-Wing Sprint Cars along with IMCA Modifieds, Pure Stocks, Bombers and Power 600 Micro Sprint Cars.
Racing action will get under way at 7:00 p.m.
It will mark the ASCS Desert Non-Wing Sprint cars second stop of the season at CAS after Stevie Sussex topped the series season opener on February 1 ahead of Pete Yerkovich, who rallied from 15th, and Sterling
There’s no better way to spend a Saturday night than at the races. ASCS San Tan Ford Sprints cars will be on hand for the Cotton Classic March 7th at Central Arizona Speedway. Joining the line up will be the IMCA Modifieds, Pure Stocks, Bombers and Power 600 Series Micros. Racing action begins at 7:00pm. Pits open at 4:00pm, Front Gates open at 5:00pm. (February 11, 2020) – Fargo, North Dakota’s Casey Arneson pocketed Tuesday night’s $2,000 IMCA Modified winner’s share atop the 3/8-mile Central Arizona Speedway by wiring the field in the 25-lap feature event that capped off the fourth round of the Fourth Annual Arizona Dirt Track Tour.
While Arneson earned IMCA Modified honors, Nebraska’s Brian Osantowski took the $750 winner’s share in the IMCA Sport Modifieds while Arizona native Ricky Thornton, Jr., picked off his second $750 IMCA Stock Car win in as many CAS rounds.

While Baca, Jr., took the big check, Cody Thompson and Ricky Thornton, Jr., cashed in as well with $750 triumphs in IMCA Sport Modified and IMCA Stock Car action respectively as 93 cars filled the pit area for the third of six Arizona Dirt Track Tour events. Lonnie Wheatley, CASA GRANDE, Ariz. (February 6, 2020) – Following a rousing season opener last weekend, Central Arizona Speedway is gearing up for three days of activity atop the 3/8-mile clay oval in Casa Grande beginning on Sunday.
Central Arizona Speedway will host the Fourth Annual Arizona Dirt Track Tour on Sunday and Tuesday with an open practice session mixed in between on Monday night.
Sunday’s racing action goes green at 1:00 p.m. with Tuesday evening’s card getting under way at 7:00 p.m. Monday’s open practice session is set for 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Both the Sunday and Tuesday rounds of the Arizona Dirt Track Tour will offer up

While Sussex bested the Non-Wing Sprint Car ranks, other opening night winners at Central Arizona Speedway included Bud Marshall in Pure Stocks, Kevin Souligne in Bombers, Josh Castro in Power 600 Micro Sprints and Tuesday Calderwood in Power 600 Restricted Micros.

Lonnie Wheatley, CASA GRANDE, Ariz. (January 28, 2020) – Central Arizona Speedway gets the new decade under way with a bang this Saturday night as the ASCS San Tan Ford Non-Wing Sprint Cars lift the lid on the 2020 season atop the 3/8-mile Casa Grande clay oval.
While the ASCS Non-Wing Sprint Cars headline Saturday night’s card that goes green at 7:00 p.m., the Power 600 Micros, Pure Stocks and Bombers will be in action as well. It will be preceded by an open practice session on Friday night from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., with free grandstand admission and $25 pit passes.
