The Southwest Modified Championship return to the fastest track in the South West Saturday night May 17th at 7:30pm featuring IMCA Modifieds, Dwarf Cars, X-Mods and Pure Stocks.
With a break from racing the week before and track prep coming along nicely we are sure to be blessed with a large field of IMCA Modifieds ready to put on a show. Current SouthWest points leader Brain Schultz will lead the IMCA Modifieds as he has 3 wins on the season with Cody Graham and Chaz Baca Jr both ready to move into that overall spot and take claim of that almost $3000 to win the overall points championship in this inaugural series.
X-Mods will be in a battle of there own a Trevor Miller took advantage of early leaders Eric Winemiller DNF at Arizona Speedway 2 weeks ago and will look to extend his lead at C.A.S. in the points hunt.
Pure Stocks had a long downtime to rebuild cars and be ready to hit the track on Saturday night. Terry Churchwell sits in front of Michael Huffman who won the championship in 2012 at Arizona Speedway and will be looking for a way to gain valueable points and move forward in the 2014 championship hunt.
Dwarf Cars will wrap up the card as they went green to checkers last time out which netted the club an additional $185 from track promoter Jonah Trussel in an effort to keep them progressing forward with good clean affordable racing.
Racing action begins at 7:30pm. Cost of admission is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and kids 11 and under are free!!! Follow us to win tickets at www.Facebook.com/CentralArizonaSpeedway .
