The fastest track in the South West returns to action this Saturday night April 26th with the IMCA South West Modified Championships featuring IMCA Modifieds, X-Mods, Dwarf Cars and Bombers. Casa Grandes Brian Shultz currently sits in the points lead of the championship series leading Cody Graham by 1 point and 20 points ahead of Garrett Funk as Shultz became the first 2 time winner of the series last Saturday night at Arizona Speedway in a heated battle with New Mexicos Zane DeVilbiss. Don Earven of Globe, AZ captured victory last time the IMCA Modifieds were on the track at C.A.S. and will look to rebound from a rough night at Arizona Speedway this past weekend.
Nolan Morrow will look for back to back wins in the X-Mods division as the competition in this growing division has continued to tighten up with many of the top 10 cars proving they have a chance of winning on any given night.
Desert Dwarf Car point leader Kevin Cain will look to stay on top of his division while David Brodeur and Chad Stewart will both be trying to over take the number one spot.
The Bombers will round out the evening of racing in their second round of the series at Central Arizona Speedway that has Steve Soboski, Mark Farnes and Mike Brigner all running in the top three positions. Last years track champion Don Berner currently sits in the 8th position.
Green flag will drop at 7:00pm this Saturday night April 12th at 7:00pm. Cost of admission is $12 for adults, $10 seniors and kids 11 and under are FREE!!!!
